EMTT
(Extracorporeal MagnetotransductionTherapy)
*Utilizing high-energy magnetic pulses. EMTT stimulates cellular activity and ATP production increases microcirculation, modulates inflammation, and accelerates repair of soft tissues, cartilage and bone.
*EMTT operates at a higher oscillation frequency allowing for deeper tissue penetration and greater biological effects at the cellular level.
*Shows promising results in managing a wide range of conditions, including osteoarthritis, tendinopathies, neuropathic and musculoskeletal pain, fracture healing and post-surgical recovery, and sports-related injuries.
*When paired with other regenerative therapies such as SWT, it can enhance overall treatment outcomes.
*One of the key advantages is its safety profile and minimal side effects and is typically well tolerated while not requiring any downtime.
***Contraindications: pacemakers, MRI-unsafe implants, pregnancy, malignancy, or DVT.
***Treatment plan: recommended: 6-8 sessions over 2-4 weeks, more chronic and severe cases may require up to 12 sessions for optimal results. Many patients report relief after the first or second session; fuller benefits often occur over weeks as cellular regeneration proceeds.

FAQs
Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT)
Who is EMTT suitable for?
EMTT can be used for adults with musculoskeletal complaints, such as arthrosis, back pain or specific sports injuries.
Who should not be treated?
EMTT must not be used on:
-
Pregnant women
-
Persons with pacemakers or other implanted electronic systems
-
Epilepsy
Careful medical assessment is required in the case of certain conditions, such as tumors in the treatment area, and with cautions children and adolescents.
What do I need to do before the treatment?
As magnetic pulses will be generated during the treatment, electronic devices, credit cards and other magnetically sensitive objects should be removed from the immediate area for treatment.
Please inform your doctor in particular regarding:
-
Tattoos or permanent make-up in the treatment area (this may result in mild heating)
-
Metallic clothing, such as fabrics incorporating metal fibers
-
Jewelery, watches, belts, spectacles or other metallic objects – these should be taken off before the treatment
How does the treatment feel?
EMTT has generally been described as well-tolerated. Some patients report a mild throbbing or tingling during the treatment. These sensations are normal and only occur while magnetic pulses are being applied. Should the application feel uncomfortable, the intensity can be adjusted or treatment can be interrupted.
Can the treatment cause side effects?
Isolated cases of mild redness or pain during treatment have been described. These were generally temporary and subsided within 24 hours. Particular caution is recommended in the case of limited ability to feel pain, such as with neuropathy.
Does the tissue heat up during the treatment?
No, EMTT is gentle on the tissue and the skin. The pulses are so short that they do not cause any noteworthy level of heating.
How many sessions are required?
A treatment cycle usually comprises multiple sessions, often 4 to 8 applications within a few weeks. A session generally lasts between 8-12 minutes. The exact number of sessions is determined according to an individual’s needs.
Does the health insurance company cover the costs?
No
Are there any safety margins that must be observed?
Yes. During the treatment, a minimum distance of 2 meters must be maintained from persons with pacemakers and of 1 meter from electronic devices (e.g. mobile phones, credit cards, laptops).
